First we want to praise the Lord, the need funds was supplied and the well was drilled. The top two photos shows what we went from, to!
The country of Uganda is still in a server drought which has brought new problems to the school.
The main source of electrical power comes from hydro generation from Lake Victoria at Jinja. Now Lake Victoria is at an 80 year low and the generation has been cut to 1/3 of the capacity. This has lead to power rationing through out the country of Uganda; most of this rationing being in the villages in the bush.
Mateete is in the bush country of Uganda and now goes with out power for days at a time. When it does come back on it may be for 4 hours then back off; they do not know when it will be off or when it will come back on. Here lately it has been in the middle of the night before they get up.
This has brought on a new problem for the school. Even though we have a well it takes power to pump the water; with the power going off and just on for a short time the tank has ran out of water. (The power is not on long enough to fill the tank, or get the amount need for the school).
They have been taking the school truck to buy water from other villages, but because of number of people going to the few bore holes that have not run dry, they are not allowed to get the amount of water needed for the children.
What is need is a generator to supply the power to the pump. This would also help the village of Mateete, the school could sell water to the people that can not get to the other bore holes.
Pray with us that these needed funds will be provided to meet this need.
